City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (January 27, 2012) – At the January 24, 2012 City Council meeting, City Manager Tim Ernster introduced the City’s new intern Sarah Goelitz.  Ms. Goelitz attended Sedona Red Rock High School for three years and graduated from Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy in 2008.  She is currently a senior at Northern Arizona University (NAU) and will graduate in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a minor in Studio Arts.

The City of Sedona formed a partnership in 2010 with NAU’s Department of Politics and International Affairs and offers an internship each year to an upper level undergraduate or graduate student interested in government.  Ms. Goelitz stated about her internship, “I want to learn as much as I can before completing my undergraduate career.  In particular, I would like to learn about the organization behind a small and dynamic city like Sedona.”
