SEDONA, Ariz. – The city’s Arts and Culture Program invites the public to meet local sculptor Jill Trenholm on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 4 to 5 p.m. at Community Library Sedona, located at 3250 White Bear Rd., for the next Meet the Artist series event. Trenholm will unveil her maquette, The Deer Woman, a deeply personal response to the crisis associated with the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives movement.

This piece has been created to honor, protect and bring awareness to Indigenous women and their stories. The one-hour presentation will have a short film and Q&A.

Trenholm will also present a Moment of Art on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. at the City Council meeting, located at 102 Roadrunner Dr.

Trenholm is the protégé of the late master sculptor John Soderberg. Her work explores themes of healing, unity and human dignity, often taking the form of public art.
