logo_24hourtheaterSedona AZ (April 8, 2015) – Professional and amateur painter-designers in the Sedona, Flagstaff, Jerome, and Cottonwood areas may apply now for the 24 Hour Theater Visual art Teams.

On May 15, the production process begins when actors are cast for theatrical plays that will be written overnight. Then on May 16, four teams, of up to three visual artists each, collaborate in a fast-paced professional environment, to finish their original scenic sets in time for the performances that night, on the Mary D. Fisher Theater stage.

This year, we also encourage Art students from Red Rock High School to apply for this unique challenge, and amazing opportunity for youthful expression.

One can only feel sorry for those who cannot comprehend the government’s response to the breech of the capital on January 6, with many, even pundits, claiming it was only a peaceful occupation. Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
