By Amaya Gayle Gregory I don’t think I will be successful relaying my thoughts this time. I barely can see them myself … and I need to write them down for me, not for anyone else. It’s one of the ways this I am makes sense of insights, one of the ways they are integrated within. Where to start? I don’t even know where to start. Gosh, isn’t that fun. Do you look in the mirror and like what you see? Perhaps you have quit looking in the mirror and just walk on by. I have a rather large mirror…
… a lot of the photos in my portfolio have been shot around home … in the yard and around it … sitting on the deck whilst keeping an eye on my little predator who has a penchant for attacking predators much larger than herself. May is always the month for our Spuria Innovator iris’s to bloom … a very tall plant and beautiful beyond imagination. A friend planted them for Corky, early summer in 2013 and she loved them. Since she was on hospice, we all knew that she would never see them bloom, but having seen them in…

By Amaya Gayle Gregory The writing that comes through me is puzzling at times. If feels like it is all over the board — definitely not a linear progression. Would be so much cleaner if it was . I used to watch the ones who claimed to have found it and observing their calm presence, wanted to cross that finish line too. Now I realize there isn’t a finish line at all. Such ideas are sleight of hand, wants and wishes crafting something out of nothing, creating concepts of finished and unfinished and making them appear as possibilities … like…
… I stopped by the Rainbow Trout Farm in Oak Creek Canyon on my way home from Williams to say hi to friends and perhaps get a shot at some Osprey’s as they went for trout dinner from the buffet which is set out for them. An Osprey soon appeared and for more than fifteen minutes he was attempting to lock onto a trout in the pond but was having a lot of trouble and pass after pass, hover after hover resulted in zero dives for a fish. The air was very windy and turbulent and on top of that…

… time rummaging through older folders tonight and after working the top photo of a Western Bluebird up, I saw another shot of a Western Bluebird that I liked a lot too, so we have two of them tonight. The shot at the top is kind of neat as it shows our bluebird friend puching through the space between two forks of a branch with feet assisting and wings being compressed and folded back. The shot below is simply a beautiful bird, perched and allowing his beauty to be shared with you tonight. Also the well known fact that the birds…
