Verde Valley News – MATFORCE, a primary prevention organization that focuses on stopping youth substance use before it starts, is excited to announce the winners of the annual #StayHealthy Essay Contest. MATFORCE has implemented the essay contest since 2019 to start youth thinking about the harms and consequences of substance use and sharing those thoughts with their peers and the community. Camp Verde News – On 04/03/2024 at approximately 1600 hours, 49-year-old Junie Marie Rezzonico and 42-year-old Donald Earl Rezzonico were arrested and booked into the Yavapai County Detention Center on charges of felony theft, felony theft by misrepresentation, felony fraud schemes, felony fraudulent use of a credit card and felony forgery. On 03/20/24 at approximately 09:09 hours, the victim in this case reported suspicious charges to his business accounts to which Junie Rezzonico had access. This voluntary body consists of five citizens appointed and established by City Council to promote and protect Sedona’s historic character and identity. Arizona News – A popular trailhead leading to two of the most popular trails in Flagstaff will be closed for the next two months for public safety and to make room for workers and equipment while construction occurs. The trailhead for Elden Lookout trail and Fatmans Loop trail will be closed beginning Monday, April 8 through May as contractors reconstruct the trailhead and repave and expand the parking area to accommodate up to 50 vehicles as well as other visitor facilities.
