    Sedona AZ (Septeber 29, 2015) – West Sedona and Art For Sedona’s Sake are teaming up to continue Arts and Crafts shows for the Fall in Sedona. With the assistance of Big O Tires, Sedona Paint Center, Kala 48., and AmTrust Bank, we invite the public to its Arts & Crafts Show, October 3/4, October 17/18 and October 31/November 1, from 10am to 5pm located at 2875 & 2885 West SR89A. The event is free and open to the public both days. FREE Parking is available at Big O Tires.

Expected to be found at the open-air market will be contemporary and Native American jewelry, flutes, crystals, Native American artifacts; pottery, steel art, iron art, copper art, fine art and photography, hand-made soaps & lotions, magnetic jewelry, sculptures, hats, hand-made knives, kettle korn and more…

    These shows are conducted with the public, the artists and craftspersons, and local not-for-profits in mind. Recipients from these shows include, but are not limited to, Morning Starr Animal Sanctuary, Verde Valley Sanctuary, Sedona Food Bank, Sedona Community Center, Habitat For Humanity, Sedona Recycles Inc. and many more. Come out and support your local artisans, businesses and charitable organizations while enjoying the fresh air and natural beauty of Sedona.

    The Sad Lesson of Tyre Nichols

    Having grown up in the mean streets of the Bronx there is one lesson we learn early on, and that’s don’t mess with the cops when they got you down, and outnumbered. The beating of Tyre Nichols at the hands of the police preceding his death at the hospital could have been avoided if only he had the sense to not resist them. People fail to understand that on the streets, cops are basically “God.” You can’t fight them. If it takes one, two, five, ten or twenty officers they will eventually put you down and hurt you if they have to in the process of detaining or arresting you. In the Bronx we would fight amongst ourselves but when the cops came it was “Yes, officer. No, officer,” and do our best to look as innocent as possible. People need to understand that cops on the street represent the full power of the state and government. Read more→
