logo_sedonakindSedona AZ (February 6, 2019) – Just before Thanksgiving, Sedona.Biz and SedonaKind brought you a story about the 16 beautiful Kindness Benches that were donated and placed all around Sedona. The benches were created by local artists extraordinaire Lucy Paradise and Lenore Hemingway, and members of SedonaKind. The benches have now found their permanent homes, and are already being treasured by local residents and visitors alike as places to rest, relax, and contemplate ways to be kind. Treasure… treasure hunt… Aha!

As a final gift to our town and its residents, SedonaKind has created a Kindness Benches Scavenger Hunt for you all to enjoy. Visit all 16 benches, find the hidden clue on each, decipher the secret code, enter the contest, and hopefully win one of the fabulous prizes donated by local businesses.

All the information you need to participate is on the accompanying location list. We hope you enjoy the journey to so many of the best spots in Sedona.

Put on your detective hats to find the clue and figure out the code, and take a moment to sit and plan your next act of kindness.

It’s almost Valentine’s Day, and love and kindness go hand in hand, so it’s a perfect activity to do with your family or a special friend.

Symbols evoke profound emotions and memories—at a very primal level of our being—often without our making rational or conscious connections. They fuel our imagination. Symbols enable us to access aspects of our existence that cannot be accessed in any other way. Symbols are used in all facets of human endeavor. One can only feel sorry for those who cannot comprehend the government’s response to the breech of the capital on January 6, with many, even pundits, claiming it was only a peaceful occupation. Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
