“Birds, Beasts and Beauty”- Biblical Fine Art exhibit opens in Uptown

Sedona AZ (October 21, 2012) – On October 3^rd “Birds, Beasts and Beauty-the Genesis to Revelation Alliance with Animals” fine art traveling exhibit opened in Uptown Sedona at Wayside Chapel and continues through Nov. 4th. This 45 piece exhibit has transformed the lower level of Wayside’s Jordan Hall into a fine art gallery where the works of 15 contemporary artists from across the U.S. combine efforts with historic masters for an intriguing fine art journey with the animals throughout the Biblical narratives. From Genesis to Revelation guests can witness their magnificence and their prominence throughout the Bible including depictions of Eve and the Serpent, Noah and the animals of the Ark, Angeli Giuseppe’s “Elijah Taken up by a Chariot of Fire” , “Peter’s Denial with the Cock Crowing”, Caravaggio’s “Conversion of the Saul”, “Jonah and the Whale”, “The Lost Sheep” and more. The show includes works by 15 nationally acclaimed artists and ceramic and original oil works of local Sedona artist Jeannette Tuscher are also featured. Most original works are available for sale and proceeds support the Masterpiece Christian Fine Arts, an Oregon based nonprofit foundation, with a portion of the local proceeds also supporting Sedona’s Young Life organization.

The ‘Birds, Beasts and Beauty” exhibit is on a six city tour including Fort Worth Texas, Sedona, San Diego, San Francisco, Ashland and Portland, Oregon. Masterpiece Christian Fine Arts sponsors the development and display of Biblically themed art exhibits, and offers Christian artist conferences and workshops in Oregon each year. The exhibit is free to the public and open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 10 – 5, Friday and Saturday 11 – 7 pm and Sundays noon to 5 pm. Wayside Chapel is locatedat 401 N.
