… a few weeks ago a friend invited me to stop by a place called the Melting Point on 89A in West Sedona where I met Austin Littenberg one of the owners and artists who create amazing blown glass art there. Do not know how many times I have driven by the place, looked at the signage and wondered what they did or sold in there … on that day I found out and it is spectacular. I visited with Austin for a while and took numerous photos of the glass art that he created. The image below is a depiction of a Violet Bunting … he built up layer after layer of different colors of glass and then carved it to bring out the different colors and patterns of the bird. Stop in there and check it out and if you would like to learn,they have classes for you.
The photo above is of a Yellow Head Blackbird we found at Lake Pleasant a few weeks ago he was perched on a tree in a very shallow bay on the NE end of the lake … it is the first one we have seen at the lake.
A beautiful day today and we’re into yet another one. Time to wrap the day … have a terrific one and if you choose, it will be so!
Cheers,
Ted
To-morrow, O to-morrow!
Fast fall the fading years. A thought, a dream
Of gentle words; of faith and love a theme;
A smile, a step or two, and all is done.
Quick is the veering stream of life full run;
Yet in the crimson west still gleam
To-morrow and to-morrow’s endless dream.
