To believe that my experience should be yours, that one experience has a monopoly on the truth, that any experience could be right, the others wrong, is delusion … and it seems, is the basis of any teaching or religion, right wings and left wings, judgement and arguments — all the wars — from the inner wars to the outer.

Each one says: Who you are is not right, is not acceptable and you need to change. Every. Single. One. denies the precious and magnificent beauty that we are.

What if instead, we simply love. What if we love simply, love without reason or need? Why not shower kindness and smiles? See how it feels to laugh and cry together or what happens when we unleash a bit more joy in the world.

If not … that’s perfect too. The light needs the darkness, the darkness the light.

    In this

    precious moment

    I ooze love

    and compassion

    a crazy act of

    unreasonable love

    As I walk

    through the world

    the light I am

    effortlessly powerfully

    Sedona Gift Shop

    permeates the darkness

    with a gentle

    healing touch

    my smile

    cracks me open

    and I spill out

    into the world

    all is done

    though me

    and yet

    I do nothing

    at all

    I love you …

There is no appropriate bio for Amaya Gayle. She doesn’t exist other than as an expression of Consciousness Itself. Talking about her in biographical terms is a disservice to the truth and to anyone who might be led to believe in such nonsense. None of us exist, not in the way we think. It’s actually much better than we can imagine. Ideas spring into words. Words flow onto paper and yet no one writes them. They simply appear fully formed. Looking at her you would swear this is a lie. She’s there after all, but honestly, she’s not … and she is. Love a paradox and life is nothing, if not paradoxical. Bios normally wax on about accomplishments and beliefs, happenings in time and space. She has never accomplished anything, has no beliefs and like you was never born and will never die. Engage with Amaya at your own risk.

    If I Were Curtis Sliwa
    By Tommy Acosta

One of my guilty little pleasures is imagining what I would do if I was in someone else’s shoes, especially politicians. In this essay I would love to jump into the shoes of Curtis Sliwa, a former New York City vigilante who founded the Guardian Angels and is now running as a Republican for mayor of his city.
