    … Michele sent me a photo of me and Leroy that she took yesterday after the raptor shoot and it is a fun one. Leroy likes me and coos when I am around … we’re buddies … and yesterday after we finished, he perched on the back door hatch while I sat back there visiting and checking out photos. Kinda fun!

    Below are two photos from today down at Lake Pleasant … took an aviation and photographer buddy out for his first shoot on the lake and we got some pretty neat stuff. The first one below is of a Great Blue Heron perched on a dead tree with a beautiful golden hillside in the foreground, saguaro catus on the next hill and a mountain range in the background … and below that a great egret perched on a rock at a cave entrance with a Halloween surprise about to make her appearance … Katie loves good food and here the presentation is excellent too.

    They are starting to fill the lake again … how do I know that? Easy, last week when we were out on the lake there was a rock that we got some neat shots of soft shell turtles sunning themselves on … today I found the rock now submerged with the new engine as we bumped over it. No damage and only an expletive or three …

    Have an absolutely lovely day today … my plan is to wake up and find that I am breathing and I cannot think of a better way to start the day … then the fun begins!

    Cheers,

    Ted

    I drink deep the joy of dawn, and peace
    abides with me;
    And though I know that I again shall see
    Dark fear with withered hand approach my sleep,
    More sure am I when lonely night shall flee,
    At dawn the sun will bring good cheer to me.

    It Takes a Lifetime and Sometimes Even More

    By Amaya  Gayle

    Sedona, AZ — It takes a lifetime (perhaps lifetimes) of stretching and expanding, ripping and tearing, just to move through one’s predispositions, to meet one’s inbred resistance and evolve to the grace of simple tolerance. During this precious part of the journey, it feels like you are taking the steps, are choosing right, left or straight ahead, that you are in the game.
