    Second Sedona Mayoral Candidate Debate Held at SPAC

    Sedona mayoral candidates Samaire Armstrong and Scott Jablow participated in their second debate Wednesday, October 12, at the Sedona Performing Arts Center.

    The debate was sponsored and conducted by the League of Women Voters Northern Arizona and the Sedona Camber of Commerce, filmed and recorded by Sedona.biz, Sedona’s cyber news outlet.

    It was narrated by Mary Chicoine.

    The candidates were asked numerous questions prepared by LWVNA, including questions garnered from the public.

    Approximately 200 citizens were in attendance.

    If you recently moved to Sedona, you may notice that every four years, residents vote on something called Home Rule. The July 21 vote is simply about who controls Sedona’s city budget.

    Home Rule allows the city government, Staff with limitations, and Council to spend any money they have on any project they want without regard to voter input.
