… last week, One, was beset with a sudden and fatal illness and died in my arms early Friday evening. She joined our family in May of 2013 after Q, her predecessor passed from a Lymphoma. One’s first contribution was the love that she gave to Corky who had just been placed on hospice and continued for the next nine plus years as my friend and co-conspirator in planning various situations wherein, and with the aid of Photoshop, she hijacked planes, slept on clouds and morphed into a hawk or something else. She brought a great deal of joy into my life and that of others. She was a fierce defender of her territory and one of her joys was chasing bobcats out of our yard. Her loss marks the end of our shared life together, but leaves untold wonderful memories.
When you choose to become attached to and love a creature that has a relatively short life span, you will experience loss, but we know that going in … Corky and I have always chosen to continue to share our love with new creatures within days of a loss, because there are so many creatures in need of a home and we know will bring joy into our lives.
Today, Katie, a one year old American short hair cat came home with me from the Humane Society of Sedona Shelter in West Sedona. She is in the process of exploring her new home and getting a lot of re-assurance that she is loved … she has a different personality from One and is already establishing control over her new domain … in a gentle way.
It was a tumultuous weekend with tears saying goodbye to One, and renewed joy as Katie arrived home bringing her unique life style and love into our home … life goes on and whilst you have life, choose to enjoy each day and share the joy you find in life … it is all that matters.

In addition to sales of photographs already taken Ted does special shoots for patrons on request and also does air-to-air photography for those who want photographs of their airplanes in flight. All special photographic sessions are billed on an hourly basis.
Ted also does one-on-one workshops for those interested in learning the techniques he uses. By special arrangement Ted will do one-on-one aerial photography workshops which will include actual photo sessions in the air.
