    … there are hits and misses and tales from centuries and eons ago that revolve around the one that got away and the one that didn’t. Being human we have those days when we have opportunities that get away and days when they don’t and this common thread runs through all of life and life forms.

    In the shot above it looks like the Great Blue Heron has his dinner firmly under control as he lifts him out of the water, but the trout had other days … he preferred having dinner himself rather than being dinner … in the shot below taken on another day, the Great Blue Heron prevailed and he got his dinner. Humans have the same problems … ever hear about the fish that got away?

    Thanks to my friends at Rainbow Trout Farm in Oak Creek Canyon for the opportunity to shoot the wildlife on their property and if you too want to dine on the finest trout in Arizona, this is the place to go. They buy rainbow trout eggs from Arizona Game and Fish and raise them in raceways in the back of the property … when large enough they are transferred into the ponds where you can go and catch them. From the day that the eggs are placed in the water there, they are in spring water, the same spring water that is used in Purely Sedona Water … that is as good as it gets! Photographer? Photo Workshops will be coming in the future.

    Leaving for the lake very very early in the morning … a new week, new opportunities to enjoy life and make the world a little nicer place to be. Smile and keep breathing!

    The joy of dawn, and peace abides with me;
    And though I know I again shall see
    Dark fear with withered hand approach my sleep,
    More sure am I when lonely night shall flee,
    At dawn the sun will bring good cheer to me.

    It Takes a Lifetime and Sometimes Even More

    By Amaya  Gayle

    Sedona, AZ — It takes a lifetime (perhaps lifetimes) of stretching and expanding, ripping and tearing, just to move through one’s predispositions, to meet one’s inbred resistance and evolve to the grace of simple tolerance. During this precious part of the journey, it feels like you are taking the steps, are choosing right, left or straight ahead, that you are in the game.
