Yavapai CollegeClarkdale AZ (April 30, 2020) – Despite being physically closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Yavapai College library is providing support to students and the Verde Valley community by providing safe curbside pick-up of reserved items or “holds” at the Yavapai College book drop located outside on the Verde Valley Yavapai College Campus in Clarkdale.

Clarkdale resident, Linda Litchfield, utilizing curbside pick-up to get her reserved library items.

Library patrons can log into Yavapai College library’s website, yc.edu/library or the YLN mobile app to search for an item, place it on hold to reserve it, and select the Yavapai College Verde Library as the pick-up location. Patrons will receive an email notification and phone call from library staff when their item is ready to be picked up.

After notification, patrons should drive to the book drop located at the far end of the Building I parking lot, near the bus stop and follow the step-by-step directions on the sign: call the reference desk phone at 928-634-6541 so a librarian can check out your item(s), have your library card number or YLN mobile app handy and be prepared to verify your identity, remain in the car or at least six feet from book drop until an employee puts the bagged item(s) in the designated bin, pick-up the plastic bag containing your item(s) and drive away.

To protect our patrons, library materials are quarantined for 72+ hours.  After a patron leaves, the bin is wiped down with disinfectant wipes. Curbside pickup hours are Monday through Friday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

If you have any questions about library services on the Verde Valley Campus, please contact Library Manager, Sophia Zarifis-Russell, 928-634-6542, Sophia.Zarifis-Russell@yc.edu.
