    Registration Begins April 6

Yavapai CollegeClarkdale AZ (March 28, 2020) – In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Yavapai College has announced that all summer classes will be offered fully online when the semester begins June 1, 2020.

The decision was made in an effort to protect the health and safety of students, faculty, staff and the college community.

Registration for summer classes opens on April 6, and can be done fully online. Students who need help registering should contact the Yavapai College Answer Center by phone at (928) 776-2149, or by email at answercenter@yc.edu.

“Yavapai College is doing everything we can to ensure the safety of everyone, while also continuing to offer high-quality educational programs to our community,” said Dr. Lisa Rhine, President of Yavapai College. “I commend our faculty and staff who have worked hard to move our classes and services into the virtual world and hope that our students and community do not let these difficult times deter them from reaching their educational goals.”

The College is working on expanding its summer course offerings to include a variety of courses that fit multiple areas of study for degree-seekers in the humanities, sciences, and career and technical education, classes for high school students, and personal interest students.

More classes will be added in the coming days. Students should check the class listings on the yc.edu website regularly for updated information.

The summer schedule for OLLI and Community Education courses in both Prescott and the Verde Valley is still in development and will be announced in the near future.

All information regarding the college’s COVID-19 response plan can be found at yc.edu/covid.
