    Ballet Arizona Dancers: LIVE In Sedona

    Sedona Chamber BalletSedona AZ (March 13, 2020) – Sedona Chamber Ballet is thrilled to present a world premiere collaboration, Elevé with the Artist Relief Fund featuring 28 dancers from Arizona’s premiere professional dance company Ballet Arizona. Ballet Arizona is recognized world wide as an innovative and provocative professional company that creates, performs, and teaches outstanding classical and contemporary ballet. World renowned professional dancers and master teachers, Ilir Shtylla and Kendra Mitchell Dahl are the co-artistic directors for this exciting production. 

    Sedona Chamber Ballet presents the world-class performance, Dancers Choice: By the Dancers, For the Dancers – choreographed and danced by the artists of the Artist Relief Fund (ARF), a non-profit organization that provides the professional dancers of Ballet Arizona financial support for health, education and career transition.  ARF was created through the ingenuity of Ballet Arizona dancers and artistic director, Ib Andersen. A portion of the proceeds of this production will support the Artist Relief Fund.

    True to our mission, with Elevé Sedona Chamber Ballet continues providing world-class performance opportunities to local children and dancers in professional productions while awakening awareness of the performing arts in our community. To this end this performance will also feature:

    •A behind-the-scenes dancer preparation warm-up class with Sedona Chamber Ballet dancers and professional dancers from Ballet Arizona.

    •Excerpts of the ballet The Sleeping Beauty with dancers from Plumb Performing Arts Center (PPAC), Scottsdale, From The Heart Music & Dance, Cottonwood, and Sedona Chamber Ballet dancers choreographed by Kelly Roberts.

    •Gamzatti – a solo from La Bayadère featuring Sedona’s very own Jessica LeBlanc.

    •PPAC performing the award winning piece Brandenburg choreographed by Kendra Mitchell Dahl, and Swept choreographed by Jordan Pelliteri.

    The performance will be on April 4, 2020 at 7pm at the Sedona Performing Arts Center.  Tickets and more information at www.sedonachamberballet.org.
