Sedona AZ (December 19, 2019) – The Humane Society of Sedona, in conjunction with a three month national “Home 4 the Holidays Adoption Event” by Blue Buffalo Products Company, is hosting a 4 day adoption event at our shelter at 2115 Shelby Rd. and Sedona PetSmart in the Safeway Shopping Center; both located in West Sedona. The times for the event will be 10am-4pm for 12/21-12/23, 10am-1pm on 12/24.
The purpose of this national campaign is to find homes for all shelter pets for the holidays. Last year over 1.3 million animals found their forever homes. HSS has many dogs and cats awaiting adoption and the PetSmart location has cats.
Special adoption fees will apply:
- $25 for pets 6 months and older ($0 adoption fees for Veterans and Active Duty Military).
- All HSS pets receive medical & behavior screening, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip & registration, PetSmart coupon book, complimentary office visit to a local veterinarian, a numbered HSS tag & collar.
- Special socializing programs where volunteers work with animals to help reduce stress and connect with their new family.
For adopters wondering how a pet will do in their home, you can foster a pet for up to two weeks (or longer for special situations) before officially adopting.- We offer a “sleep-over” for the holidays if adoption is not possible. It helps the animals to experience a loving home; even if it is just temporary. We want this to happen before 1 pm on Christmas Eve; with animals returned anytime on December 26th.
