logo_verdevalleyfiredistrictCottonwood AZ (October 7, 2019) – On Saturday October 5th, at approximately 4:15 PM, the Verde Valley Fire District responded to a Residential Fire in Oak Creek Valley.

VVFD was originally dispatched to a tree on fire near a house. While en route the call was changed to a residential structure fire. Crews viewed a significant column of smoke while driving to the scene and upgraded to a “working fire.” On arrival they found several community members had acted quickly to apply water to the flames that burned the tree and then caught the side of the house and roof on fire.

The Cottonwood Fire and Medical Department pulled a hose line to the side yard and began to fight the fire from there. VVFD established a water supply and pulled a second line to enter from the front door and check for fire extension. After the flames were extinguished an extensive overhaul was performed to make sure no fire was hidden in the attic space or the void under the floor. The Verde Valley Ambulance Company arrived and assessed one homeowner who refused further treatment.

    Whack – A – Mole War

It looks like the tried-and-true method of armed conflict where armies face each other and kill until somebody wins or gives up, now all it takes is assassinating the leadership Israeli style. We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
