Mental Health Monday May 20
Sedona AZ (May 14, 2019) – The Mental Health Coalition Verde Valley presents “Mind/Body Connection: The Power of Pets, Purpose, Spirituality and Laughter in Physical and Mental Well-Being,” a panel discussion on Monday, May 20, 10AM-11:30AM, at Yavapai College, 4215 Arts Village Dr., Sedona. The program is free and open to the public and is a partnership with Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
Among the panelists are Jerry Wesche, Phd, addressing the importance of nurturing the mind and body connection; Carol Landauer, LPC, focusing on the role of purpose and spirituality in one’s life; Barbara Litrell, President of the Mental Health Coalition Verde Valley and recently certified therapeutic laughter leader sharing the benefits that therapeutic laughter can play.
The subject of the power of pets to affect our physical and mental well-being will also be addressed. Attendees will be invited to share their own stories of experiences with the program’s topics.
