Cottonwood AZ (April 16, 2019) – Best friends Annabel Sclippa and Jeremia Sunfellow have been dreaming about creating a femme-focused art gallery for years. Suddenly the opportunity presented itself, and the duo had about four months from notification to when they will open in May.
They combined their skill sets, started the business formation and website, contacted their favorite artists to apply, and launched an IndieGoGo.
The response has been truly incredible. Within this short time The Muse has grown from a beautiful idea into a stunning boutique gallery space with over 20 local artist members, plus some from Phoenix and California. The Muse Gallery will display works from well-known Verde Valley Artists including Joan Bourque, Karon Leigh, Beth Courtright-Detwiler, Elizabeth Gerstner and many more.
It offers a wide variety of high-end art including 100% handmade jewelry, blown glass, weaving, ceramics, sculpture and fine art paintings.
Opening weekend is scheduled for May 3rd, 4th and 5th, from 12-7pm daily. The Muse is actively applying for a license to offer the oDDity wine collectiVe, and a portion of the weekend’s proceeds are supporting the Verde Valley Sanctuary.
The Muse will be hosting a variety of activities: live music by The Raven Sisters, DL Harrison, and Becky Dalke. Alcohol Ink Painting with Nancy White, and on Cinco de Mayo: Sugar Skull Painting on Stemware with Loretta Meyer-Furrey, and Build Your Own Flower Crown with Jeremia Sunfellow. Come out to meet the artists, enjoy live music and (God Willing!) local wine, all while supporting the Verde Valley Sanctuary.
