logo_sedonamountainbikefestival2Sedona AZ (February 12, 2019) – The Sedona Mountain Bike Festival, in coordination with the city of Sedona’s Public Works Department, will close part of Posse Ground Road from 12 p.m. Thursday, Feb 28, 2017 through Sunday evening March 3, 2019 in order to make it safer for all foot and bike traffic at Posse Grounds Park during the weekend of the event.

There will be no through traffic to West Sedona School Friday, March 1, 2019. All traffic to West Sedona School will be rerouted via Soldiers Pass Road. Parents are encouraged to leave with extra time to get to school with the potential increased traffic on Soldiers Pass Road. The closure will not affect access to any homes off Posse Ground Road because the closure barricades will be located from above the intersection of San Patricio Road to the intersection of Carruth Drive (see photo). Additionally, residents may still access Posse Grounds Park during the festival weekend for other activities, but plan for limited parking and field access.

2019 Sedona International Film Festival will begin on
Saturday, February 23 and ends on Sunday, March 3

Doesn’t anyone check to see if their festival will conflict with another one?

I predict a traffic nightmare that weekend. No need for a psychic to see that.

They just don’t care about traffic or residents. I honestly believe the city and chamber think more traffic is better. Residents? Sedona still has residents? Oh well, they don’t vote and we have fooled those that do every election in the past decade.

Sedona is a tourist town, remember? Why are you still living here?

I’m a RESIDENT and love the Mt bike weekend… Really great event for tourists and residents alike…. Perhaps as a resident you should try participating instead of complaining..

    Whack – A – Mole War

It looks like the tried-and-true method of armed conflict where armies face each other and kill until somebody wins or gives up, now all it takes is assassinating the leadership Israeli style. We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
