logo USFS USDASedona AZ (January 27, 2012) – A portion of the Bell Rock Pathway Trail and parking area will be temporarily closed for trail reconstruction beginning Wednesday, February 1 through Friday, February 3, and once again Monday, February 6 through Wednesday, February 8. Construction will take place utilizing the Bell Rock Pathway Vista parking lot and trail north to the Big Park Trail intersection. Daily trail construction work will take place between 8 am and 5 pm, and the trail and parking area will re-open for weekend recreation access.

The purpose of the temporary closure is to allow Forest Service personnel and the Coconino Rural Environment Corps (CREC) crew to install new water diversion structures to reduce soil erosion and to enhance the trail surface for continued public enjoyment.

The public is asked to please avoid the construction area during this time to allow for public and employee safety. Heavy equipment will be utilized in the area for the transport of construction materials.

For more information concerning this project, please contact Kevin Lehto at 928-203-7500.
