Northern Arizona Student Art Show, May 3-6

Clarkdale AZ (April 18, 2018) – The Northern Arizona Student Art Show (NAZSAS) is a juried art show for aspiring high school artists that has become a major art event in Northern Arizona. The public is invited to attend and view works of over 350 student artists from nine regional high schools. Over $3,000 will be awarded to the top artists through scholarships and cash prizes. Made In Clarkdale Through the Ellie Bauer Scholarship fund, Made In Clarkdale will be offering a $1,000 scholarship this year.

WHAT: The Northern Arizona Student Art Show (NAZSAS), sponsored by Made In Clarkdale
WHEN: Thursday, May 3, through Sunday, May 6. Hours are 1 pm to 7 pm Thursday through Saturday. Sunday hours are 11 am to 4 pm (The Awards Ceremony is at 2 pm.)
WHERE: The Clark Memorial Clubhouse Auditorium, 39 N. 9th St., Clarkdale, AZ 86324

The public is invited to this free event.

“Our Board feels that sponsoring this event fits perfectly with our mission to nurture creativity and to support art education,” stated Greg Jiede, MIC Chairperson. “It’s a great way to support the visual arts in Northern Arizona high schools, provide the students with the experience of a competitive show, and to offer scholarships and cash prizes to them. Every year we are impressed with the quality that comes out of our public high schools which is a credit to the teachers and the students.”
