Longtime readers may recall I made a public records request of the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) regarding documents and emails concerning the “smart” meter health study that the ACC asked the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) to perform. The ACC redacted stuff they had no legal right to redact. They even invented a redaction classification that does not exist under Arizona law, “state of mind.”

Worse, at the same time I also made a public records request of the ADHS. In the ADHS’s response, I found a revealing email exchange between the head of the ADHS and the head of the ACC that was not in the documents I got from the ACC. In other words, the ACC hid it from me. In that exchange, the head of the ACC was prejudicing the study from the start by telegraphing the type of study the ACC wanted (favorable to “smart” meters). Remarkably, the head of the ADHS responded that he knew “intuitively” that “smart” meters were safe. So much for objective science. The ADHS study went downhill from there. Read More→

So . . . what about this new $5 per month “traditional meter” charge that APS is notifying us about by letter?? Should be hold out in hopes that their tactics will be overruled by a court or??? $5 isn’t huge but it is the principle of the tactic that irks me!

      • Warren on October 9, 2017 4:22 pm

Dave, I will be appealing the fee, but in the meantime I suggest paying it unless you want to be a martyr. Legally at this time, APS has the right to charge the fee. Non-payment will not end well.

Thank you Warren for your dedication as a watchdog and an advocate for integrity and honesty in government and APS.

And also thank you for being a watchdog and advocate for the customers of APS on issues regarding our energy usage and fees, and being such a strong voice and educator on the health dangers of Smart Meters and working so hard to protect our choice to choose not to have a Smart Meter.

Congratulations, Warren! Thanks so much for being the voice of thousands of smart meter users who may — or may not — be harmed by them. It is far too early to know what harm they could do our health. Too little is known.

      • Warren on October 11, 2017 4:58 pm

Actually it’s not too early to know. Do some homework. Plenty of people have been harmed already.
