    VVWC Fourth Annual Symposium: Taking Root

    logo_verdevalleywineconsortiumClarkdale AZ (April 9, 2015) – Yavapai College, in conjunction with the Verde Valley Wine Consortium (VVWC), will host the VVWC’s fourth annual symposium, entitled “Taking Root,” Saturday, May 30 on the Verde Valley Campus at 601 Black Hills Drive in Clarkdale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The symposium includes industry speakers, an all-Arizona grand wine tasting, local food vendors and a silent auction to support the VVWC.

    29159498_VVW2015SymposiumTom Schumacher, president of the VVWC, said, “Each year the Symposium builds upon the previous, and this one will have lots of information for the novice, wine connoisseur, winemaker and anyone who loves to sip wine, make wine or grow grapes.”

    “This symposium will be a great opportunity for our viticulture and enology students to gain knowledge and network with many wine industry experts, including experienced wine educators, winemakers, and many others,” said Yavapai College Viticulture Program Director Nikki Bagley.

    Early bird general admission is $50. Admission for students is $25. VVWC members will receive a $10 voucher for lunch.
