Cottonwood AZ (October 28, 2014) – Fall is in the air.  The leaves are changing colors and pumpkins are everywhere.  It’s time for a trip to Hawai`i!  Halau Hula Napuaokalei`ilima and Kumu Hula Kehau Chrisman invite you join us on a Saturday afternoon excursion to the island of Kaua`i.  Travel to some of the famous and notable places on this the oldest island in the Hawaiian chain through authentic Hawaiian Hula and music when we present our 11th Annual Ho`ike on November 15 at the Phillip England Center for the Performing Arts (280 Camp Lincoln Road in Camp Verde).  Doors open at 12:45 PM and the show starts at 1 PM.

In addition to the hula show, there will be Hawai`i themed items for sale and silent auction – reasonably priced and perfect for holiday gifts.  Money raised will be used to support our educational activities such as making cultural presentations at schools and traveling to the World Hula Conference to learn from Hawaiian experts.  It will also support future performances, such as MIMFEST (the global music festival) at the MIM (Musical Instrument Museum) in Phoenix October 18-19 and at the Arizona Aloha Festival in Tempe in March 2015.
