    Made In Clarkdale Hosts Student Invitational Art Exhibit!

    logo_madeinclarkdale2Clarkdale AZ (october 22, 2014) – As a part of its annual Art Show, MADE IN CLARKDALE will host student artwork in its Corner Gallery located at 921 N. Main Street in historic downtown Clarkdale.  Mingus Union High School fine arts students will be joined by Clarkdale/Jerome Elementary School student artists at the Made In Clarkdale Student Invitational Art Exhibit, onNovember 7th through Dec. 14th, kicking off Clarkdale’s cherished winter arts festival season. The exhibit is expected to feature 75-80 student artists representing kindergarten through twelfth grades from public schools attended by Clarkdale residents.

    The public is invited to celebrate the exhibit Opening Night on November 7, 2014, with a FREE reception from 5:00pm -8:00pm at the Corner Gallery.  Refreshments are “made in Clarkdale” by Nate’s Cowboy Café. Regular gallery hours are Wednesday-Friday 12:00pm-4:00pm and Saturday 10:00am -1:00pm.

    Also scheduled is an “Artist Meet Artist” evening from 7 PM to 8:30 PM on Wed Nov 19th. Students will have the opportunity to discuss their work and ideas with Made In Clarkdale professional artists. The public is welcome and encouraged to join us for the evening!

    The Student Invitational Art Exhibit is coordinated by Isabel Erickson, a Made In Clarkdale Associate member. Community sponsors include Isabel and John Erickson, Mary Liggit and Bill Scales.  Clarkdale business sponsors are Nate’s Cowboy Cafe and Alcora Bath and Kitchen.
