    Sedona Red Rock High School Graduates Awarded Scholarships from Sedona Community Foundation

    logo_sedonacommunityfoundationSedona AZ (August 12, 2014) – The Sedona Community Foundation recently awarded more than $10,000 in scholarships to four Sedona Red Rock High School graduates. Scholarships are awarded from scholarship funds managed by the Sedona Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Arizona Community Foundation.

    The Lillian & Gordon Macgregor Scholarship Fund provides assistance to those pursuing careers in healthcare. Rachael Preschler and Ataiyo Viafora will attend Arizona State University to study physical therapy and molecular biology, respectively. Anna Watson will attend Northern Arizona University to study nursing. Viafora also received an award from the Jerome & Gale Glaser Scholarship Fund.

    Masha O’Bryan, who will attend Northern Arizona University to study biology, received the Arizona Community Foundation Scholarship. She plans to pursue a career as an equine veterinarian.

     “The students who earned these scholarships put in 13 years of hard work and dedication,” said Darrin Karuzas, principal of Sedona Red Rock High School. “They are excellent representatives of our school and will make us all proud.”
