Well Red Coyote Hosts Gabaldon, Schnebly Heidinger
Sedona, AZ (July 13, 2011) – The third annual Sedona Book festival will be held on Saturday, October 1, from 9 am to 5 pm, on the beautiful Sedona Center for Arts & Technology, Yavapai College, located at 4215 Arts Village Drive in Sedona.
Joe Neri, founder and sponsor of the festival as well as co-owner of The Well Red Coyote, announced that exhibitor registration is open. Interested authors, publishers and others should go to the festival web site for details and registration forms – www.sedonabookfestival.com.
“We’re receiving registrations almost every day,” Neri says, “and we expect the pace to increase during the next month or so. Since we’ve slightly scaled back the number of exhibitor tables this year, in order to provide an even better experience for both exhibitors and attendees, we expect to sell out even earlier than we did in the past two years.”
International bestselling author, Diana Gabaldon, will be the festival’s keynote speaker. Gabaldon is the author of the popular Outlander series and will be celebrating a special 20th anniversary edition of the first book in her epic series.
In addition to Gabaldon, Lisa Schnebly Heidinger will be debuting Arizona 100 Years Grand: Official Book of the Arizona Centennial. Jeff Smedstad, owner and chef of the Elote Café in Sedona, will be conducting a cooking demonstration. And, local author and writing instructor, Kris Neri, will be conducting a comprehensive publishing workshop for writers.
The Sedona Performers Guild will provide live music on the outdoor patio during festival hours.
The book festival is free and open to the public. A portion of festival proceeds will be donated to the Yavapai College Foundation – Greater Verde Valley Chapter.
