logo_madeinclarkdaleClarkdale AZ (July 16, 2013) – Made In Clarkdale, Inc. (MIC) established a new out-reach program this summer by participating in local events with a display table of information and sign-up opportunities for new artists, volunteer members and sponsors. New categories of members have been established by the Board and they want to share this information with the community.

20130716_madeinclarkdaleMIC welcomes all residents of the Verde Valley to become an Associate Member and volunteer with many aspects of the show like out-reach, organization, fund raising, and event set-up. We need more folks to join in and make a contribution of time to a fun and interesting events supporting the arts. Also, the group is accepting all members of the community as “A Friend” of MIC… you can donate (on the MIC Web site) to support the group’s efforts of holding the show annually.

You will be supporting another new category, Junior Artist, which will be offered this year to the Clarkdale Jerome School and High School art students to have a real world art show experience. There will be a special jury session later in the year for this category to give students time to create for this opportunity. When juried and accepted their art will be shown in the 10 day show for sale (if desired) or just shown. Donations for this program will sponsor the students entry fee and art materials as needed… so please donate at the Concerts in the Park, other events to come, or go to the website, www.MadeInClarkdale.org, donate with your PayPal account or send a check… we really will appreciate the community’s support of this valuable art education program for kids. (Ask about qualifications to be a Junior Artist)

Recently the artists have joined together in the out-reach effort and have had a table at the Clarkdale Concerts in the Park where we have reached area newcomers and new sponsors, signed up a few artists for notifications on the Jury Sessions coming up, and enjoyed the company of other artists and of course the music and merrymaking of the event.

MIC also participated in the Verde Valley Regional Mixer sponsored by the Cottonwood and Sedona Chamber of Commerce, where they offered a chance to win an “Evening at MIC”, the winner receives their own special evening showing during the 10 day art show in December. Made In Clarkdale announced the winner of this $500 fun opportunity as Northern Arizona Healthcare. There are still other evenings available for companies, organizations, employers, churches, groups…etc. to secure their own special “Evening @ MIC” in a unique art show setting for holding a holiday party… networking event … and/or employee appreciation party.

The Old Fashioned Fourth of July in Clarkdale was the perfect opportunity for Made In Clarkdale to join in the town’s main annual celebration. The group offered a number of items and art for raffle donations. MIC raised $270 which was presented to the Clarkdale Fire Department To contribute to the Fund Raising efforts in benefit of the families of the Granite Mountain Hot Shots.

Fitting the Mission of Made In Clarkdale as a non-profit organization the group is proud to be making strides for art education and becoming….”more than an annual art show”!

For more information on becoming a member, A Friend, volunteering, or becoming a qualifying artist…please see www.MadeInClarkdale.org, or contact them at info@MadeInClarkdale.org, or meet them during events… friend them at www.Facebook/MadeInClarkdale or mail at P.O.Box 161, Clarkdale, AZ 86324.
