Cottonwood, AZ — There’s something new cooking at BV’s Italian Kitchen, and beginning September 16, Italian food lovers won’t have to wait until dinner to enjoy it.

BV’s is expanding its hours and opening its doors at 11 a.m., with lunch served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant is also introducing a new $20 Early Bird menu from 4 to 6 p.m., along with Happy Hour specials from 4 to 6 p.m.

And Chef David Moraga isn’t simply moving the clock around. There are plenty of new reasons to pull up a chair.

The new lunch menu features sandwiches, soups, salads and one particularly intriguing Italian specialty—Pins’a, a Roman-style variation on traditional pizza.

Pronounced “peen-sa,” BV’s describes Pinsa as an Italian delicacy of hand-pressed pizza dough that’s crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. At $16, each Pins’a comes with an Italian side salad.

Choices include the Burrata Prosciutto Pinsa, topped with extra virgin olive oil, arugula and drizzled with balsamic glaze; the Funghi Pinsa, with sautéed mushrooms, arugula, shaved Grana Padano cheese, olive oil and porcini dust; Margherita Pinsa, with homemade marinara, fresh mozzarella, basil and balsamic glaze; and a Classic Pepperoni and Cheese Pinsa.

Lunch also brings a tempting lineup of $16 sandwiches, including a Meatball Sub, Prosciutto Burrata, Italian Stallion and Roasted Porchetta. Each comes with an Italian side salad.

For something lighter, there’s a Strawberry Burrata Salad with fresh strawberries, zesty arugula and balsamic glaze, along with BV’s House Salad and classic Caesar. Soups include hearty Minestrone and Tomato Basil, and a $15 Soup & Salad Combo offers a choice of soup with either a Caesar or Italian side salad.

    Come Early—and Come Hungry

Then comes the new $20 Early Bird menu, available from 4 to 6 p.m.

There’s classic Fettuccine Alfredo, made to order with BV’s homemade Alfredo sauce; Spaghetti con Polpette, featuring house-made beef and pork meatballs with marinara and crostini; Eggplant Parmesan with Capellini, prepared with Italian breadcrumbs and served with homemade marinara and fresh mozzarella; and Creamy Gnocchi Rossa, combining house-made gnocchi with garlic, shallots and Parmesan cream.

That’s a serious Italian dinner for twenty bucks—and a pretty compelling reason to arrive early.

    And Then There’s Happy Hour

BV’s is also giving guests another reason to settle in from 4 to 6 p.m. with Happy Hour specials including $5 house wines by the glass, $4 domestic beers, $4.50 imported bottled beers, $7 well drinks, $8 Italian spritzes and $7 house sangria.

There are also $5 Martini Well Wednesdays, featuring Lemon Drop, Espresso, Dirty and Cosmo Martinis, and $5 Margarita Thursdays.

Of course, the food is only part of what makes a visit to BV’s special.

There’s a warm, unmistakably Italian feeling to the restaurant—the kind of place where dinner isn’t something to rush through. The inviting atmosphere, attentive service and aromas coming from the kitchen encourage you to settle into your chair, enjoy the conversation and let the meal unfold.

That has always been part of BV’s charm: authentic Italian food served with amore.

Now you can experience it earlier in the day.

So whether you’re craving a crispy Pinsa for lunch, homemade gnocchi for an early dinner or simply an Italian spritz and a little conversation at Happy Hour, BV’s has just added several delicious new reasons to stop by.
