Festival partners with The Wilde Resort & Spa for “Wilde Wednesdays” outdoor films

Sedona, AZ — The Sedona International Film Festival is partnering with The Wilde Resort in West Sedona to present its “Movies on the Move” outdoor film experience — “Wilde Wednesdays” Cinema Under the Stars — every Wednesday in the summer season!

Join us on Wednesday, Aug. 20 as we present “La La Land” in The Grove Fire Pit Garden at The Wilde Resort and Spa.

“La La Land” was nominated for 14 Academy Awards including Best Picture, winning six Oscars, including Best Actress for Emma Stone, Best Director for Damien Chazelle, Best Original Score, Best Original Song, Best Cinematography and Best Production Design.

While navigating their careers in Los Angeles, a pianist and an actress fall in love while attempting to reconcile their aspirations for the future. Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) and Mia (Emma Stone) are drawn together by their common desire to do what they love. But as success mounts, they are faced with decisions that begin to fray the fragile fabric of their love affair, and the dreams they worked so hard to maintain in each other threaten to rip them apart.

City to Discuss Sedona Spy Cams

    By Tim Perry

As a reminder, the Sedona City Council has tentatively scheduled a special meeting for Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 3 p.m., at which city staff will endeavor to “educate” residents on why it’s a good thing that the city is building tracking maps of their every movement and giving that data to a private corporation to be used to advance its “Minority Report” agenda.
