… I spent several hours going through folders of older photos this evening and I found a folder of Hummer images that I took a number of years ago and just put aside for another day and today was it.

I had heard a slight commotion in the garage and when I went out there I saw a small object drop from one of the skylights … went over to it and that is the top photo of the exhausted little guy on his back on the lower rim of one of my tool cases … hustled into the house, grabbed a Cannon 1DX with a 100mm macro lens on it and got a number of these shots.

Next I gloved up, picked the little one up and began providing care and water to it and finally I brought out one of my shoes, he grabbed on and I carried him out to the table on the back deck, plenty of water for him to intake and after about fifteen minutes he was off, on his own and rejoined life in the outdoors. It is really special when you get to help another creature 🙂 There are about 15 to 17 different species of Hummingbirds in the USA and about 320 species in the world.

My knowledge of horse is very limited, but I do love these beautiful creatures and this is a shot of Mira, owned by Buck Apple, Ranch Manager of Horse Mesa Ranch on the east side of Jacks Canyon area in the Village area … what a magnificent creature.

Into the weekend already .. have fun, smile, lend a hand to someone and keep breathing … life is such an amazing journey 🙂 The plan is to be back Monday morning.

    Cheers,

And though age and infirmity overtake me,
and I come not within sight of the castle of my
dreams, teach me still to be thankful for life,
and for time’s olden memories that are good
and sweet; and may the evening’s twilight find me
    gentle still.

    Whack – A – Mole War

It looks like the tried-and-true method of armed conflict where armies face each other and kill until somebody wins or gives up, now all it takes is assassinating the leadership Israeli style. We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
