… one of the first birds that frequented our yard and neighborhood when we first moved to Sedona and began construction on our home was the always happy and scurrying Gambel’s Quail. Just before they hatch, mom calls to the chicks in the eggs who then begin cheeping to each other and shortly thereafter they all cut holes in the egg shells and emerge into the world … their population waxes and wanes depending on the conditions during the winter and early spring. The little ones who look like little walnuts running around are amazing to watch. The photo above I got on a walk in a light rain a few years back and the white vertical lines are drops of rain.
Below is a photo I took of a Belted Kingfisher at Lynx Lake, last fall. She slowly worked her way down the length of the lake and using the electric motor we stayed right with her and got hundreds of shots over an hour so time period. It was fun …

In addition to sales of photographs already taken Ted does special shoots for patrons on request and also does air-to-air photography for those who want photographs of their airplanes in flight. All special photographic sessions are billed on an hourly basis.
Ted also does one-on-one workshops for those interested in learning the techniques he uses. By special arrangement Ted will do one-on-one aerial photography workshops which will include actual photo sessions in the air.
