… I took the photo above this last spring about 170 feet above the ground on the face of Red Tail Cliff, from the tram that goes up to Glendon’s home on top of the cliff. It is absolutely amazing the quantity and variety of life on the face of the cliff … a Cliff Swallow is poking his head out of the entrance to the home that he built … it is protected from above by an overhang and the entrance is about a foot inward from the overhang. The nest itself is made by the swallows carrying clumps of mud in their beaks and placing them one by one in place … I have been privileged to view this several times down at Lake Pleasant in some narrow waterways off the main lake. The photo of me below is a selfie I took last spring whilst in the tram shooting the swallows and red tails.
Below is an aerial photo of Sedona I took a few years ago and from which I have removed all signs of civilization … the way it was in 1876 and earlier. I sent out this photo a couple of months ago and a person on this list wanted a large print of it; the one I had worked on didn’t come out so good in the large size, so I started over from scratch yesterday morning and just finished late afternoon today … it is beautiful! I’ll be doing a series of seven more aerial shots which will include the Peaks and Flagstaff area for a project I am doing with Wayne Ranney Wayne also has a blog-spot that you can subscribe to and it details many of his trips … they are fascinating and informative and I highly recommend it.
Into the weekend and I am looking forward to the predicted inclement weather that should be starting soon … rain, very cool and perhaps some wind! Bedroom window open and me tucked under some warm feather comforters 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend, keep breathing, smile and be kind!

In addition to sales of photographs already taken Ted does special shoots for patrons on request and also does air-to-air photography for those who want photographs of their airplanes in flight. All special photographic sessions are billed on an hourly basis.
Ted also does one-on-one workshops for those interested in learning the techniques he uses. By special arrangement Ted will do one-on-one aerial photography workshops which will include actual photo sessions in the air.
