… time going through older folders again tonight and I’m continually blown away by the quality of the images I shot years ago and generations of cameras ago. The shots tonight were taken with a Canon EOS 1DX and the photos are among thousands of absolutely beautiful shots I took with those camera bodies. Not as many pixels or features as the newer generations of cameras, but no camera body I have used has taken cleaner or sharper images than the 1D-X … I had three of them and miss them, so here are a couple of the fine shots I took with them … I had three of them :- |

The photograph above is Lo II the second Bobcat that befriended us and spent time in the yard and on the deck. This image was taken late afternoon on a December day and he was soaking up rays before the sun disappeared behind House Mountain and I had spent about fifteen minutes with him and the photo was taken from a distance of about six feet … yes, I was lying in the grass too.

Another late December image of a pair of Bald Eagles down at Bubbling Ponds … the lighting on the birds was beautiful, soft and such that I got extreme detail and no shadows. These were large eagles and for a few months frequented the ponds … again, the Canon EOS 1D-X … did I say I loved this camera? I shot with this model for almost ten years.

Into a new day which will find me on Lake Pleasant tomorrow morning … still looking for the Cougar taking a morning drink of water from the lake … who knows?

Have an absolutely beautiful day today and share a smile and share your joy with those you meet and greet … the next day too if you like.

    Cheers,

    Ted

But from the brooding beauty of the night,
And daily dancing shafts of golden sun—
The mystery and wonder of the world—
That play the soundless music of the soul
And fill the heart with memory’s olden dreams—
From these will come at last your faith in God.
