    Sedona News – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona premiere of “The Last Rifleman”, showing Nov. 29-Dec. 5 at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

    Inspired by a true story, Pierce Brosnan plays Artie Crawford, a World War II veteran living in a care home in Northern Ireland who has just lost his wife. On the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings, he decides to escape his care home and embarks on a journey to France to pay his final respects to his best friend.

    “The Last Rifleman” is loosely based on the true story of British D-Day veteran Bernard Jordan, who left his care home in England to travel to France.

    “The Last Rifleman” will be shown at Mary D. Fisher Theatre Nov. 29-Dec. 5. Showtimes will be Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Thursday, Nov. 29, 30 and Dec. 1 and 5 at 4:00 p.m.; and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 2, 3 and 4 at 7:00 p.m.

      The Royal Irish Rangers the unit Mr Jordan served in has a fascinating history. This is but one story of one soldier from the unit but it gives great insight into the type of soldiers were and are Royal Irish Rangers
