Sedona News – The Sedona International Film Festival is taking its show on the road on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at The Wilde Resort and Spa for “Wilde Wednesdays” — an outdoor under-the-stars movie experience with “Movies on the Move”.

“Hungarian Rhapsody: Queen Live in Budapest” will be screened in The Grove Fire Pit Garden at The Wilde Resort and Spa.

“Hungarian Rhapsody: Queen Live in Budapest” — an original concert film — has been remastered in high definition and features many of Queen’s favorite tracks – “Bohemian Rhapsody, ” “Crazy Little Thing Called Love, ” “I Want to Break Free, ” and “We Are the Champions”.

On July 27, 1986, Queen broke new ground by playing for the first time in Hungary, a country which was still under a communist dictatorship behind the Iron Curtain. The band performed the largest-ever stadium concert at the Nipstadion in Budapest in front of 80, 000 ecstatic fans. The concert was part of the famed Magic Tour, which was the last time the band toured with lead singer Freddie Mercury.

Now, this original concert film has been remastered in high definition and features many of Queen’s favorite tracks – “Bohemian Rhapsody, ” “Crazy Little Thing Called Love, ” “I Want to Break Free, ” and “We Are the Champions”.

Bring your lawn chair or blanket and relax in front of a massive outdoor movie screen. Enjoy food and beverage offerings from Chef Mercer Mohr and his modern diner restaurant, Rascal. If your sweet tooth catches you, enjoy S’mores around one of the four firepits. The festival’s mobile concession stand will have movie treats available.

The Wilde Resort and Spa is also offering local “Stay-cation” getaway packages with special room rates that include a room overlooking the garden and film, tickets to see the film, welcome amenities (red wine and a smores kit) and waived resort fee, plus early check-in and late check-out. Mention booking code “D-WWED” when making the reservation.

“Hungarian Rhapsody: Queen Live in Budapest” will be shown outdoors at The Wilde Resort and Spa (2250 W. State Route 89A in West Sedona) on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs. Parking is free and available at The Wilde Resort and Spa.

Tickets are only $7 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.

For advance tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Visit the film festival office at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona to get tickets in person. For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.
