logo_USFS_USDAFlagstaff AZ (February 20, 2013) – A trailhead and Forest Service road will be closed temporarily, beginning Monday, for reasons of public safety while maintenance is performed.

    Courthouse Vista trailhead closure

The Courthouse Vista trailhead in the Red Rock Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest will be closed beginning Monday through March 1 for maintenance.

Work on the connector trail from the Courthouse Vista trailhead between the intersection of the Phone Trail and the Bell Rock Pathway will require heavy equipment at times, so will be closed for public safety.

Visitors who wish to access Bell Rock may still do so via the Phone Trail from Courthouse Vista trailhead or the Bell Rock Pathway from the Bell Rock Vista trailhead.

For questions or comments on this project please contact F. Adrian at 928-203-7500 or fcadrian@.fs.fed.us

    Forest Service road 618

Coconino National Forest engineers will temporarily close sections of Forest Service road 618 for a few hours each day to complete repair work, beginning Monday for two weeks. These closures should only last a few hours at a time.

Forest Service road 618 is located east of Interstate 17 on the Red Rock Ranger District and runs north and south from Beaver Creek to Highway 260. Engineers will be repairing some existing drainage issues and repair work will be weather dependent. Signs will posted while work is taking place and local homeowners/business will be directly contacted.
