    Cave Springs Campground closed till August for streambank stabilization project

    Sedona News – Cave Springs Campground, located 11 miles north of Sedona in Oak Creek Canyon, is closed till August for public health and safety as construction personnel work on a bank stabilization project.

    Work will center on the Cave Springs Campground main access road (Forest Road 89D) and preventing further erosion and undercutting of the road.

    Construction crews will be staging heavy construction equipment at the parking area for the Harding Springs Trailhead—located on the west side of state Route 89A at the entrance of Cave Springs Campground.

    The Cave Springs Campground area is under a closure order until July 31, and the public is prohibited from entering the closure area. For more information about this project, please visit the Cave Springs Streambank Stabilization project page online for in-depth documents and details.
