The groundbreaking “Food, Inc.” ignited a cultural conversation about the multinational corporations that control our food system at enormous cost to our planet, workforce, and health. “Food, Inc. 2” comes “back for seconds” to reveal how corporate consolidation has gone unchecked by our government, leaving us with a highly efficient yet shockingly vulnerable food system dedicated only towards increasing profits.

Seeking solutions, the film introduces innovative farmers, food producers, workers’ rights activists, and prominent legislators such as U.S. Senators Cory Booker and Jon Tester, who are facing these companies head-on and fighting to create a more sustainable future.

“Food, Inc. 2” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on Tuesday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $12, or $9 for Film Festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona. For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.

Fortunately farming is getting somewhat smarter and farmers are learning how to raise crops and livestock in ways that don’t permanently damage grazing lands or contaminate them with carcinogenic chemicals as was too long the practice here in the US. Unfortunately it is largely un regulated unless it is government subsidized and often unsustainable as the cost of raising and vaccinating livestock exceeds the profitability for many farmers.
My Uncle had a Dairy Farm in TN and he said the mandatory vaccinations for each head of cattle were astronomical and mandatory.
With the world’s asinine wars and climate disasters mankind has to get much smarter about food and water conservation.
Americans who can need to get back to gardening so as to offset some of the tremendous waste of food we waste everyday all day!

People want to use spirituality just like they want to use God. Fix me. Heal me. Help me. Awaken me. Overcome my enemies. Help my side win. People use money, power, force, and other people, exerting influence to the same end.
