Sedona News – The city of Sedona will host a free limited household electronics collection and paper shred event on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 8 a.m. to noon, at the West Sedona School parking lot 570 Posse Ground Rd., near the Sedona Community Pool. Household electronics and small battery waste will be collected by our partners Westech Recyclers and Veolia. In addition, Assured Document Destruction will have an on-site paper shredding truck.

Disposing of electronics and batteries in landfills contaminates drinking water and can kill wildlife. Throwing out electronics can waste billions of dollars in recoverable materials such as gold, silver, coltan, copper, palladium, platinum, and other valuable metals. Paper documents can be recycled into new products, reducing the need to cut down forests for paper production. Proper disposal is important for protecting the health of humans and our environment.

Waste that will be accepted for the event includes:

    • Large batteries such as car batteries
    • Medical waste

    Beatles Tribute at Blazin’ M

I can honestly say, having grown up in the Bronx in the 60s, that if it had not been for the Beatles I most likely would have grown up to be a criminal or been killed in a violent gang war.
