Sedona OLLI’s SIFF preview will feature Patrick Schweiss, Executive Director of the Sedona International Film Festival (SIFF). Twenty years ago, Schweiss took the helm of the Sedona Film Festival and has overseen its expansion from three days of screenings to a nine-day celebration of independent film. He oversaw the construction of the SIFF’s own arthouse theatre, The Mary D. Fisher Theatre in 2012, and the festival’s newest addition: The Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatre, in 2022.

As the Sedona International Film Festival’s 30th Anniversary approaches, Schweiss will offer a peek behind the curtain and share special guests and honorees, as well as details on the 2024 festival’s 150+ films. You’ll learn about the festival’s free workshops and ways to meet industry professionals and the celebrity guests.

The preview will discuss the festival’s new “Movies on the Move” truck – which offers ‘pop-up’ outdoor screenings at various locations around Sedona – and other unique events the SIFF has in store. From opening night to the closing credits and from the Red Carpet to the Awards Brunch, you will get all the latest news as the festival brings a bit of Tinseltown to Red Rock Country!
