By Tommy Acosta
It was about three minutes into President Biden’s speech in his State of the Union address when I found myself searching for clues as to the speaker’s real identity.
“It just couldn’t be him,” I thought. “An imposter had taken his place and was getting away with it!”
Where was the stumbling, fumbling, bumbling, mumbling President America has grown to love? What the heck was going on?
His demeaner was confident. He was lucid. He did not lose himself somewhere in his mind between sentences.
He hardly referred to his notes and went on delivering his message in an almost totally coherent way.
He even went off script when Republican hecklers using their doth-the-lady-protest too-loud defense against him, protesting loudly after being accused by Biden that they were out to wipeout Medicare and Social Security.
Rather than argue with them he noted that by their protest that they too had no intention of ending the entitlements and that then it was settled, they were all now on the same page and in agreement – entitlements would remain intact, for which he received yet another standing ovation.
And talking about standing ovations, those poor old people in Congress had to have gone home with knee and back pain after bobbing up and down like a Jack-in-a-box all night long.
Instead of listening to what he was saying about taxing the rich, stopping big pharma, calling for corporations to pay their fare share of taxes, banning semi-automatic rifles, expanding Medicare to cover everyone, better education for the country, rebuilding infrastructure, fair wages and all that Liberal jazz, I was mesmerized by his new command of his vocal cords and control over his own body.
The movement of his hands and arms matched, kept tempo to the words leaving his mouth. He was expansive, humorous. He showed emotion and anger at appropriate points, proving that he was not half dead as so many had been claiming and believing up to that point.
He introduced the parents of Tyre Nichols and used that to call for better training for police, with Republicans joining in for yet another standing ovation.
He even covered the latest China transgression, the border crisis and the Ukraine, like one would sprinkle powdered sugar on a pancake, sweeping over them without a hitch or pause and ignoring how bad sugar is for you.
I thought of the people over at FOX News watching in profound horror as the President failed to fall into an incoherent geriatric abyss as they all had hoped for and predicted. Poor Hannity. Poor Tucker. Poor Laura.
When Biden got off the stage and mingled with the fawning audience there was a sense of a benevolent victor about him; of a man in complete control of himself and his senses quite happy with his performance.
Got to admit, I did not expect such a performance from him. I wondered if he had been given some kind of miracle drug that enhanced his cognitive abilities to the point of his making sense.
One thing for sure, his speech writers deserve some kind of an award, as do those who helped him train for the address. Good work.
Ok. I don’t think there was a stand-in double on that stage. He did at times mumble a bit but maybe it was a trick to make us think it was still him. Nah! I looked for every clue possible that he might have been a clone or a stand-in double but could not find any. That was him, all right.
Regardless, he was at the top of his game last night at the Sate of the Union address and his enemies and distractors are just going to have to live with it and his new re-election slogan – “Let’s finish the job.”

Who needs notes when you have a teleprompter?
And his handlers did a good job.
Dementia Joe practiced reportedly for weeks in front of his teleprompter with his handlers keeping him steady. The speech was a bomb, but ole Joe dropped it fairly well.
Has Hollywood/CIA come up with a Presidential Double?
Have you heard of clones, doubles and actors wearing masks? I dare not explain where the real Biden is!
McCarthy and other Retrumplicans voted 3 times to increase spending for the national debt under the previous adminstration
At least President Biden asked them to put it in writing where they want to make cuts
They do not have a plan They are working on a plan They have the nerve to refer to themselves as the “five families” While it is not all of them…they have proposed now and in the past to “sunset” social security and medicare – both of which we paid into over a lifetime of work and are entitled to reap the benefits
Americans have a short memory Pandemic / over 1 million people died / people did not go to work or school / products were not made…………..suddenly every thing is suppose to be normal?
I shudder to think what his ideas are for “education” … nuf said!!!
Actors are plentiful in this day and age … and the “Hollywood” masks are more realistic than real faces as partial to full body suits. This head looks nothing like the “old man” who was in politics for years. If you think so – perhaps you need to clean your glasses? Still – nice to hear it was a good delivery!! I found absolutely no reason to watch it – knowing that the original character has at least three covering for him since his “leaving us”… a few years ago. Just my two cents …
And it wasn’t a week that passed where the bumbler was accusing Republicans again of wanting to kill Medicare and push granny over the cliff. The guy doesn’t have a clue what he’s saying – without the teleprompter he’s toast.
The best line of the night – “were going to need oil for another decade”. Hey Joe – a decade is 10 years. What a joke.
Well, my dear, the next day it was back to leaderless wonder and a week that spiraled into pathetic horror of just how brutally more clear his inabilty to lead, to protect or react could be. Sorry your guy is pathetic and criminal. What a sad state we are in.
To say what you said means you failed to see the satire, kind one. The state of sadness humanity endures is profound whether you live in a state or any other place in the world. — even Arizona.
Mr. Acosta’s review of President Joseph Biden’s State of the Union was actually very good. Its main point was that President Biden was invigorated with energy and substance.
I admit. I was kind of surprised and impressed. The President had “snap, crackle and pop.” I was happy for the President.
John Lennon wrote a blistering song called “How Do You Sleep Tonight.” Briefly, Lennon lyrically said that Paul McCartney’s music was like elevator music, when he sang in his song to Paul “The sound you make is muzak to my ears. You must have learned something after all those years.”
And then I thought that Joe Biden had a seat in Washington since 1973. That means he listened to the annual State of the Union messages of Richard. M. Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Bill Clinton, George H. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump. Why he has been present at over 50 SOU addresses.
And that’s what I walked away with. He must of “learned something after all those years.”
President Biden talked a lot of about solutions. Yet. The heaviness of the allegations of influence peddling, pay-to-play or whatever you want to call it, weighed heavily upon my consciousness. It looks like a duck, smells like a duck and the American voters will soon hear the purported evidence of wrong doing, cocaine, beautiful women, sex, guns, greed, but mostly broken hearts.
But Hunter is not important. There is an allegation that the President was getting a percentage off the deals.
President Obama sent Vice President Joseph Biden to Ukraine. An intended Jedi peacemaker, Vice President Biden’s charge was to ensure generous foreign aid did not fall into the hands of corrupt people.
Suddenly, Hunter got a gold seat on the Ukraine energy board. Then Hunter got a 2.8 carat diamond from Chinese nationals; then Hunter entered into multi-million-dollar “business deals.” Did foreign powers buy access to the White House? Were they wining and dining Hunter to get intel or for other intelligence reasons? Were President Biden, his brothers and son up to no good? I hope it isn’t so.
We will see.
Perhaps the greatest failure of the Biden Administration is the escalation of the war in Ukraine. It is, as we all know, a proxy war between the 30-member NATO Alliance and Russia. German Leopards, British Challengers, a Patriot Missile Air Defense System, howitzers and other high-tech artillery systems. They now say they need air support. In less than a year, 250,000 young soldiers… dead.
Eight million Ukrainians fled all across the world and nobody really knows how many civilians have perished so far.
All that democracy stuff is bullshit. The people of Ukraine lived a stable life under a Russian puppet government. Things got much worse under a NATO puppet government. The issue is the wealth of Ukraine.
It’s a shame that all those knuckleheads cannot cut a deal. Tommy would look at me with scorn for wishing that because I fail to consider how much money this war is making for tose profiting from it.
Immigration is the second giant failure of the Biden Administration. It’s a vicious circle of misery. American cities controlled by democrats cannot afford the costs associated with illegal entries into the United States. I saw nothing but lines of single men on television. Men without jobs. When buses of illegal aliens arrived in Martha’s Vineyard the rich people got rid of them in a snap of a finger.
President Biden was a car salesman when he was a young man. His State of the Union was a Johnny Carson monologue. Nothing more. The Republicans are no better. We need people to leave these two political parties and vote independent.
As to Mr. Acosta’s Orwellian observation on the recent ballon shootings, I do not believe that the United States Air Force is capable of shooting down an extraterrestrial space craft.
I think that craft taken down were made by humans and these events will be used to debunk the advocates for much needed disclosure of extraterrestrial secrets.
I say this because the space craft chased by Commander David Fravor of the United States Navy flew rings around the 18-year veteran and Top Gun graduate. Other space craft arise from the ocean and soar into the sky in the blink of an eye.
I would suggest that Corporations and Governments in possession of reverse alien technology are doing everything they can to protect their monopoly on advanced alien technology.
In the 2022 Annual Report on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence reported to Congress that out of over 500 military reports of UAP’s 172 cases had no explanation. Meaning, they were probably alien spacecraft. The other cases were weather balloons, falling space junk, birds, drones and the sort. There has never been a report of any nation shooting down a UFO.
The military-industrial complex will use the shooting down of man-made aircraft to debunk and keep secret control of advanced technology.
