… and what a joyous weekend it was … time with friends and family … in person or on the phone. I hope that yours was too. Now the wrap up for the holiday and the memo to remember each and every day, the reason for the Christmas holiday.

The image above was the project of the day coming up with a composite … my friend Eric took the photo of me in the boat a few weeks ago and the shots of Katie and Castello di Amarosa winery in Napa Valley, California are mine. I really need to get back up there and do another shoot of the winery as there are so many more shots and views I want to capture … perhaps this spring of 2023 will be a good time … if you enjoy fine wines, they have them … my preferences seem to be espresso, black tea and root beer.

The shot below is of a beautifully snow draped Kendrick Peak up on the Colorado Plateau. Kendrick is one of my favorite peaks because it is relatively compact and beautifully shaped and one of the highest peaks in Arizona at 10,454 feet.

We’re into the new week … the continuum of life continues, and may yours be blessed with daily joy … it is your choice, and although not an easy choice to make, it is rewarding and at days end, you will have a smile and a warm feeling.

    Cheers,

    Ted

I ask no odds of any man,
I am not one that follies sway.
I am the source of my rewards,
I do my work each day.

It Takes a Lifetime and Sometimes Even More

    By Amaya  Gayle

Sedona, AZ — It takes a lifetime (perhaps lifetimes) of stretching and expanding, ripping and tearing, just to move through one’s predispositions, to meet one’s inbred resistance and evolve to the grace of simple tolerance. During this precious part of the journey, it feels like you are taking the steps, are choosing right, left or straight ahead, that you are in the game.
