Pulling off an Idea for a Book:
All books begin as an idea, but many ‘ideas’ never make it onto paper because to ‘write’ a book is daunting for many. In this class we will take a look at every idea you bring, and explore options for it becoming a book.

The remaining classes are as follows, all starting at 9:15 am in the Founders Room:

    Sedona Gift Shop

January 2nd: Let’s Make Some Book Covers:
This is a practical class where graphic artist and publisher, Sheri Hauser, will put together several book covers. If you bring some pictures (along with ideas) she will show how easy it is to make your own book cover! Bring some art—let’s have some fun.

    January 23rd:  Pulling off a Children’s Book :
Anybody can write a children’s book because they are simple. We will talk about children’s books, formatting and grammar as well as how to pull off a children’s book that everybody wants to read. Where do you get pictures or illustrations? Can you use web pictures or family photos?

    February 7th:  US Copyright Laws
We will take a look at copyright laws in the US, answer any questions you may have and then go on line and register a copyright with the US Copyright Office. We will look at e-book registration and bound book registration.

Camp Verde Community Library is located at 130 Black Bridge Rd. Camp Verde, AZ.  For more information about these or any other programs in the library, call (928) 554-8391
