“I am thrilled to be bringing the Pet Calendar Contest fundraiser to the area via Verde Valley Sanctuary. The mission of this organization to help women in crisis is important and often underserved. The fact that VVS opens its arms not just to women, but their pets as well, makes this a perfect partnership,” Eaton said. “I can’t wait to see all of the entries and meet the 13 winners in May!”

Each of the 13 winning pets will receive a private photoshoot in the Verde Valley area with Eaton, which will be the photo used for the 2026 calendar. Second through 13th place winners will be featured as a pet of the month and their owners receive a free calendar. Pet owners can select their month by donating an extra $100 to the fundraiser.

In addition, for those interested in supporting VVS without entering a pet, the 2026 contest calendar will be available for $20, plus shipping.

    Whack – A – Mole War

It looks like the tried-and-true method of armed conflict where armies face each other and kill until somebody wins or gives up, now all it takes is assassinating the leadership Israeli style. We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
