Verde Valley AZ (February 11, 2016) – The Verde Valley Forum for Public Affairs has announced that their planned April 3-6 Forum addressing post-secondary educational opportunities in the Verde Valley will be rescheduled for early fall 2016 using a Friday evening and all-day Saturday format. This decision was made to ensure more adequate and representative participation of stakeholders from throughout the Verde Valley region. The new dates for this forum will be announced shortly.
Forum President Dick Dahl also announced the organization will be partnering with Arizona Town Hall in staging this event, which will follow the highly successful model implemented last August at the Town Hall held in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. It is believed that these changes will provide a more efficient approach to developing the consensus recommendations needed to guide the future direction of post-secondary education in the Verde Valley.
According to Dahl, “This abbreviated format will help in recruiting a more representative mix of participant stakeholders from all areas of our region. In the past 21 forums, the Forum has been able to achieve the appropriate demographic participant mix necessary to achieve broad-based consensus. We believe that the rescheduling of the 2016 Forum and the planned format change will ensure this outcome is achieved for this very important topic.” For more information, visit the Forum website: vvforum.org
