It was a pleasant weekend … time with friends … time with One and time alone. A number of projects completed, walks taken and church on Sunday. It is still a strange feeling to be able to go where and when I want and memories flood my mind … but it is good and life continues and forever is still forever and forever beyond that there will always be love.

I streamed Pink’s latest concert with dinner … she is an amazing artist and then a half hour of Jim Brickman on piano with dessert … for the first time since last fall I felt like messing around and doing a composite. No special meaning, I just liked the photo which I took down at the ponds last week and gave part of the planet a slight transparency. The photo is of a steel set of steps with railing that goes down into the pond and the reflection of it and the reeds in the still water. It was fun working with composites again and methinks that One may find herself in an unusual circumstance soon :+)

I hope your weekend was good too and that  the new week will be kind to you and yours … share the joy within you and smile at the humor we call life … it is good, perhaps fantastic, but rather temporary so don’t waste a moment wishing for anything but the moment.

    Cheers

    Ted

But from the brooding beauty of the night, and daily dancing shafts of golden sun …
The mystery and wonder of the world … that play the soundless music of the soul
And fill the heart with memory’s olden dreams … From these will come at last your faith in God.

The Sad Lesson of Tyre Nichols
    By Tommy Acosta
Having grown up in the mean streets of the Bronx there is one lesson we learn early on, and that’s don’t mess with the cops when they got you down, and outnumbered. The beating of Tyre Nichols at the hands of the police preceding his death at the hospital could have been avoided if only he had the sense to not resist them. People fail to understand that on the streets, cops are basically “God.” You can’t fight them. If it takes one, two, five, ten or twenty officers they will eventually put you down and hurt you if they have to in the process of detaining or arresting you. In the Bronx we would fight amongst ourselves but when the cops came it was “Yes, officer. No, officer,” and do our best to look as innocent as possible. People need to understand that cops on the street represent the full power of the state and government. Read more→
